lynda.com Video Modularized Software Training

posted Saturday, 14 July 2007

lynda.com is a wonderful source of video training, particularly for "just out" software. I have used their online trial for access to the entire library of video training and have purchased numerous DVDs. Their trainings are modularized and  consistently high quality in production value and content. Be sure to look at the entire catalog; there is something for everyone, at any level of expertise.

From lynda.com July 2007 newsletter:

Podcasts (Free) from lynda.com

Covering everything from application tips and tricks to updates on new training titles and events to interviews with industry professionals, lynda.com podcasts are well worth the download. This month, we’ve talked about:

Episode 65: Acrobat 3D Version 8 Essential Training
Episode 66: ActionScript 3.0 in Flash CS3 Professional Essential Training
Episode 67: Photoshop CS3 Color Correction
Episode 68: Windows Vista Essential Training

Simply do a search for “lynda.com” on iTunes for access to the complete lynda.com podcast library.

I have tried a bunch of differenet services and I have to say that I prefer VTCCanada.com or perhaps http://www.vtc.com/ for you. We use their Online U for the our school districts ICT department. It allows for 5 simultaneous users of the online service, which basically means we can give away about 50 people username and password combos for $1,200.00 and they have access to all 44000 software tutorials. Very cost efficient for us and gives access to most software topics to an educator that is interested.
