Adopt-A-Classroom Program

posted Thursday, 10 August 2006

Adopt-A-Classroom invites the community into the classroom in support of teachers and their students. By adopting a classroom, donors form partnerships with specific classrooms providing financial and moral support. The result is a meaningful contribution to education in which donors experience the impact of their efforts and celebrate in a classroom's success. Adopt-A-Classroom is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.  All contributions are tax deductible.

Classroom Registration  Click here to register your classroom

To participate in Adopt-A-Classroom, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 • You must teach at a U.S. public school
 • Your school must have been established before Aug. 15, 2001.
 • You must have a valid e-mail address.

How the Program Works

  1. A classroom is selected
For each classroom you adopt, you make a $500 donation. We direct your gift either to a classroom of your choice, or, if you have no preference, an underserved classroom near you.
  2. 100% of your donation given to classroom
A merchandise credit of $500 (your entire donation) is established or the classroom you adopted.
  3. Teacher orders classroom supplies
Teacher selects and orders resources to enrich the classroom.
  4. Itemized invoice
We send you an itemized invoice reflecting how your donation was spent.
  5. Correspondence and interaction
The teacher and students of your adopted classroom send letters, art work, and email throughout the school year. You may visit the classroom and become as proactive as your schedule permits.
  6. Lasting relationship
As you participate in subsequent years, you enjoy the cumulative effect of your efforts with each new class of students, as well as develop a lasting and meaningful relationship with the classroom teacher.
